Kenneth Oliver Nicely, age 78, of The Golden Living Center, Clifton Forge died Wednesday, November 12, 2014 at the nursing home.
He was born November 16, 1935 in Clifton Forge to the late Jake C. and Mabel M. Persinger Nicely.
He was a retired technician for CSX Transportation, a member of Iron Gate Baptist Church, and served in the Virginia National Guard.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Carleton S. Nicely.
He is survived by two daughters, Deborah L. “Debbie” Munn and husband Donald of Topeka, KS and Laura M. Nicely of Gainesville; a sister-in-law, Jean Nicely; two grandchildren, Heather Myers and Derek Myers; and two nieces.
In keeping with his wishes, his body has been cremated. There will be no services.
