Juanita Brown, age 81, of The Golden Living Center, 1725 Main Street, and formerly of 423 B Street, Clifton Forge, Virginia died Wednesday, December 24, 2014 at The Golden Living Center.
She was born February 27, 1933 in Clifton Forge to the late John Henry and Rosa Jackson Brown.
She was a retired caretaker and housekeeper, who was a member of Main Street Baptist Church, where she was a former usher. She volunteered for the League of Older Americans, and loved gardening and taking care of her flowers.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, John Henry Brown, Wallace Brown, Emmett Brown, and Ronald Brown; and three sisters, Mary Emma Cash, Dorothy Lee Robinson, and Barbara Mae Young.
She is survived by a daughter, Gwenette Brown, a son, Michael Brown, a brother, William “Bill” Brown, and a granddaughter, Erica Brown, all of Clifton Forge, as well as a number of nieces and nephews.
In keeping with her wishes, her body has been cremated. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
