Highlands Drug Task Force Releases Names Of Suspects

The Alleghany Highlands Drug Task Force has released the names of 44 individuals arrested during an area-wide sweep April 28.

The investigation led to 142 charges for drug possession, drug distribution, drug manufacturing and child endangerment.

The arrests followed an investigation that began in 2013.

Charges were filed against:

Martrell Allen, 30, 305 S. Lexington Ave., Covington. Selling/providing for the resale of a Schedule II drug (four counts). Conspiracy to violate the Drug Control Act  (one count).

Michael Wayne Benway Jr., 39, 611 Greenbrier Ave., Covington. Possession of a Schedule II drug —methamphetamine, with intent to distribute. Possession of 20 grams or more of methamphetamine. Possess precursors to manufacture methamphetamine (two counts). Conspiracy to manufacture methamphetamine (three counts).

Stephen Archibald Beverly, 56, 326 Hawthorne St.- Apartment 6, Covington. Selling or providing for the resale of a Schedule II drug.

Josh Ryan Botkins, 23,  102 Whitney Rd., Covington. Distributing a Schedule II drug. Conspiracy to violate the Drug Control Act.

Joshua David Carter, 29, 1501 Dunbrack Rd., Covington. Distribution of a Schedule I or II drug (two counts).  Conspiracy to violate the Drug Control Act (two counts).

Clarence Eugene Cobbs, 48, 401 E. Cherry St., Covington. Distribution of a Schedule II drug — third or more offense (three counts). Conspiracy to violate the Drug Control Act (three counts).

Somer Rose Ona Coleman, 22, 100 Nicholas Dr., Lot E-9, Clifton Forge. Possession of a Schedule II drug.

Amy Dawn Collins, 40, 6919 Ogles Creek Rd., Covington. Distribution of heroin. Conspiracy to violate the Drug Control Act.

Calvin Eugene Cooper III, 35, 512 E. Pine St., Covington. Manufacture and distribution of a Schedule II drug — second offense.

Deborah Crawford, 53, 337 Prospect St., Covington.  Sell or provide a Schedule II drug.

Mark Tyler Deacon, 23, 721 N. Pocahontas Ave., Covington. Distribution of a Schedule I or II drug — second offense. Conspiracy to violate the Drug Control Act.

Robert Lee Depriest, 25, 928 Allison Way, Covington.  Sale of a Schedule II drug.  Conspiracy to violate the Drug Control Act.

Misty Flickinger, 34, 406 Church St., Clifton Forge. Manufacture of methamphetamine. Possession of a Schedule II drug — methamphetamine.
Possession of precursors to manufacture methamphetamine. Conspiracy to manufacture methamphetamine.

Hallie Dayne Gunter, 20, 2723 Madison St., Low Moor. Manufacture of methamphetamine. Possession of precursors to the manufacture of  methamphetamine. Possession of methamphetamine. Conspire to manufacture methamphetamine.

Troy Lamont Helton Sr., 309 E. Chestnut St., Covington. Distribution of a Schedule II drug.

Andre Scott Hickenbotham, 31, 1009 Girard St., Clifton Forge. Distribution of more than one-half ounce to 5 pounds of marijuana. Distribution of less than one-half ounce of marijuana.

Gary William Hoke Jr., 29, 318 Roxbury St., Clifton Forge. Possession of a Schedule I or II drug — methamphetamine. Conspiracy to violate the Drug Control Act. Possession of precursors to manufacture methamphetamine.

Sharon Renee Hoke, 38, 531 E. Kline St., Covington. Distribution of a Schedule II drug — methamphetamine. Conspiracy to violate the Drug Control Act. Possession of 20 grams of methamphetamine. Possess precursors to manufacture methamphetamine (two counts). Conspire to manufacture methamphetamine (three counts).

Marvin Lewis Jones, 49, 4013 Grandview Ave. NW, Roanoke. Distribution of a Schedule II drug.

Jody Allen Kern, no age listed, 1024 Commercial Ave., Clifton Forge. Possession of precursors to manufacture methamphetamine.  Possession of a Schedule II drug — methamphetamine.  Manufacturing methamphetamine.

Dean Edward Kahn, 48, 1847 W. Moore St., Richmond. Distribution of a Schedule II drug — second offense (three counts). Conspiracy to violate the Drug Control Act.

Keith Cordell Laws, 54, 305 E. Pine St., Covington.  Distribution of a Schedule II drug — second offense (four counts). Conspiracy to violate the Drug Control Act (two counts).

Sonja Leaan Little, 42, 506 Clay St., Clifton Forge. Distribution of more than one-half ounce to 5 pounds of marijuana (two counts). Distribution of less than one-half ounce of marijuana (two counts). Child neglect.

Arthur Ryan Lopez, 25, 515 N. Alleghany Ave., Covington. Distribution of a Schedule II drug — second offense (two counts). Conspire to violate Drug Control Act.

Joshua Shane Macey, 27, 106 Walnut St., Covington. Distribution of Schedule II drug. Distribution of an imitation Schedule II drug.

Jason Scott Meadows, 33,  5322 Johnson Creek Rd., Covington. Distribution of a Schedule I/II drug (four counts). Conspiracy to violate the Drug Control Act (two counts).
