COVINGTON, Va. (VR) – Alleghany’s JV golf team finished one stroke behind James River in Tuesday’s match, 202-203.
Sawyer Knighton led the Cougars with a 47, followed by Landon Wells with a 49. Caleb Fisher carded a 52, while Mason Knighton finished with a 55. Millie Conner rounded out Alleghany’s lineup with a 62.
The Cougars’ top four scores totaled 203.
James River was led by Cam Newman with a 49. Dylan Davis and Hudson Saunders each shot 50, while Noah Horne posted a 53 and Jules Banka finished with a 60.
James River’s top four combined for a 202, giving the Knights a one-stroke advantage over Alleghany.
