COVINGTON, Va. (VR) – A new place for local dogs to run and play is now open at the Jackson River Sports Complex.
City officials announced Wednesday that Izzy’s Place, a new dog park, is officially open and ready for area residents and their four-legged companions.
The dog park is located at the back of the complex, across from the softball fields. The facility is open from sunrise to sunset and is free to the public.
Parks and Recreation officials are asking visitors to follow all directions posted at the entrance to help keep the park safe for all dogs and their owners.
Izzy’s Place adds another recreational option to the Jackson River Sports Complex while providing local dog owners with a designated area for their pets to exercise and socialize.
