SALEM, Va. (VR) – The Alleghany cross country teams traveled to Salem Saturday to compete in the Knights Crossing meet, with runners competing across several categories.
Kennedy Brown led the Alleghany middle school girls, completing the 5K in 19:01.0.
The middle school boys competed in a 4K, with Graham Kenny leading the Cougars in 15:34.3. Oliver Brown followed closely in 15:37.3, while Price Thompson finished in 16:41.5 and Noah Dean crossed in 17:22.7.
In the girls red, Faith Barron posted a 19:46.1, followed by Maggie Hensley at 20:55.5.
Avery Spinks led Alleghany in the girls white with a time of 24:39.9. Elise Schaper finished in 25:12.6, followed by Ava Ledford in 28:37.8 and Solara Kern in 29:21.7.
The boys black saw Cole Bowser lead the Cougars with a time of 17:45.4. Maddox Hale finished in 18:01.0, followed by Lincoln Rosales at 18:39.7, Levi Bartley at 18:57.9 and Braedan Lemons at 19:28.0.
