PRESENTATION OF RESOLUTION R-26-23 HONORING JOSHUA “JOSH” ANGLIN’S RECORD- BREAKING BOWLING ACHIEVEMENT
PROCLAMATION SIGNING – 2026 EXTRA MILE DAY
City Council will consider and sign a proclamation declaring November 1, 2026, as Extra Mile Day in the City of Covington, recognizing individuals and organizations whose volunteerism, service, compassion, and commitment strengthen our community.
2026 marks Covington’s 16th year participating in Extra Mile Day, joining communities across the nation in celebrating those who “GO THE EXTRA MILE” to make a positive difference in the lives of others.

ORDINANCES AND RESOLUTIONS:
1. There are no ordinances to consider at this time.
2. To consider and vote on Resolution R-26-26: Appropriating General Funds, Program Funds, and Project Funds, including necessary re-appropriations, carryovers, grants, and project funds for Fiscal Year 2026–2027.
APPOINTMENTS:
1. There are no appointments for Council consideration at this time. City Attorney Mark Popovich will provide an update regarding the vacancy on the Covington Redevelopment and Housing Authority.

The Regular Meeting of the Covington City Council scheduled for next month, Tuesday, October 13, 2026, at 6:30 PM is canceled. Members of City
Council will be attending the Virginia Municipal League Annual Conference and Training. No City Council meeting will be held and no City Council
business will be conducted on October 13, 2026.
