Britt Rodd Gilbert, 74, of 439 W. Riverside Avenue, died Wednesday, Nov. 8, 2017, at his residence.
Mr. Gilbert was born July 12, 1943, in Washington, D.C., a son of the late David and Ruth Rodd Gilbert.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Jeff Gilbert; and one nephew, Matthew Gilbert.
Surviving are three daughters, Grace Gilbert and Bart Singer of Menlo Park, Calif., Maggie Crawford of Winchester and Amanda Gilbert and her husband Scott, of Alexandria; one son, Evan Gilbert of Woodstock; four grandchildren, Christopher Crawford and Michael Crawford, both of Winchester, Helen Reynolds of Alexandria and Wesley Singer of Menlo Park, Calif.; one brother, Mark Gilbert, of West Virginia; and three nieces.
In keeping with his wishes, his body has been cremated. A memorial service may be held at a later date.
