CLIFTON FORGE, VA( VR) — Ingevity, alongside its philanthropic program IngeviCares, has awarded a $2,000 grant to the Jackson River Governor’s School at Mountain Gateway Community College (MGCC). The investment will directly support the school’s specialized curriculum dedicated to science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) education.
Ingevity operates a manufacturing plant in Covington, Virginia, and established IngeviCares to direct revenue and volunteer time back into the regions where its employees live and work. The grant aligns directly with the IngeviCares mission to purify, protect, and enhance the world by focusing giving efforts on STEM education, human health and well-being, and environmental sustainability.
The Jackson River Governor’s School provides high-achieving high school juniors and seniors with rigorous, college-level STEM coursework, preparing students for advanced degrees and high-demand technical careers.
