BLACKSBURG – Virginia Tech swimming & diving has announced the 2026-27 schedule.
The competition slate features four home meets at the Christiansburg Aquatic Center.
The Hokies’ first appearance at the Christiansburg Aquatic Center will be for the annual preseason intrasquad Hokie Belt Challenge (Sept. 19-20) Following the Hokie Belt Challenge, the squad will officially kick off the season against Penn State, Liberty and West Virginia at home (Oct. 2-3).
Tech then heads to Dallas, Texas, to compete at the SMU Invitational (Oct. 9-10). The Hokies continue competition in Charlotte, N.C., to take on Queens and Florida Gulf Coast (Oct. 23), before heading straight to Durham, N.C., to compete against Duke (Oct. 24). Closing out a busy October, the squad travels to Westmont, Ill., to compete at the USA Swimming SCM Worlds Trials (Oct. 28-31).
The Hokies return home to face North Carolina (Nov. 5). After a two-week break, the diving team travels to Columbus, Ohio, for the Ohio State Invitational (Nov. 18-20), while the swim team heads to Greensboro, N.C., for the NC State Invitational (Nov. 18-21). The squads then travel to Austin, TX, for the U.S. Open (Dec. 2-5).
The Hokies kick off the new year by facing rival Virginia in Charlottesville, Va. (Jan. 16). Tech returns home for a meet against NC State (Jan. 23), closely followed by the Virginia Tech Invitational (Jan. 29-31).
Tech makes its second trip to Greensboro, N.C., for the ACC Championships (Feb. 16-20). Following this, the Hokies compete in a Last Chance Meet (Feb. 26-27).
To close out the season, the Hokies participate in another Last Chance Meet (March 5-6), with both locations yet to be determined. Continuing postseason competition, the diving team will travel to Morgantown, W, Va., for the NCAA Zone A Diving Championships (March 8-10). The women’s team will then return to Austin, Texas, for the Women’s NCAA Championships (March 17-20), followed by the men’s team for the Men’s NCAA Championships (March 24-27).
