Robert Eugene “Tosky” Taylor, age 90, of 9401 Farmington Drive, Richmond, Virginia and formerly of Clifton Forge, died Sunday, August 27, 2017 at his residence.
Tosky was born in Clifton Forge on July 25, 1927 to Harry E. and Eva Hinebaugh Taylor.  He was a graduate of Clifton Forge High School and served in the United States Army. He was a dispatcher for CSX Transportation, retiring after 34 years of service. He was a member of First Christian Church Disciples of Christ and the Clifton Forge Elks Lodge, and was very active in the Clifton Forge Little League Association, coaching the VFW, the first integrated team in Clifton Forge.  He loved hunting and fishing and was a U. S. Forest Service Volunteer, serving as a campground host at Lake Moomaw for seventeen years.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Robert L. Taylor; a sister, Peggy Kimberlin; and two brothers, James T. Taylor and William L. Taylor.
He is survived by his wife, Loretta Kern Taylor of Richmond; four daughters, Ellen K. Taylor of Mobile, AL, Laura L. Taylor of Golden, CO, Mary K. Taylor-Rintels and husband Jon of Richmond, and Julie Taylor Montgomery and husband Dave of Glen Allen; a son, J. Brooks Taylor and wife Bonnie of Richmond; nine grandchildren, John Sells, Alex Audi, Jonathan Taylor, Linden Taylor, Jordan Taylor, Jesse Ellis, Amy Ellis, Layne Montgomery, and Michelle Moses; and a number of nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 1, 2017 at Noon in the chapel of Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge with Reverend Glenn Clements officiating. Interment will follow in Mountain View Cemetery, Clifton Forge.  Pallbearers will be John Sells, Alex Audi, Jonathan Taylor, Linden Taylor, Jordan Taylor, Timmy Taylor, Michael Taylor, Dave Montgomery, and Christopher Key. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Nicely Funeral Home.
The family suggests memorial tributes take the form of contributions to the Clifton Forge Little League, PO Box 77, Clifton Forge, VA  24422.
