Bettie Roberts Miller

Bettie Roberts Miller, 90, of Daleville, Va., and formerly of Covington, Va., died on Sunday, August 2, 2026.

She was born on September 9, 1935, in Bedford County, Va., the daughter of the late Lena Bowling Boerner and John Gordon Roberts and was the wife of the late John Lewis Miller Sr. for over 60 years.

Bettie graduated from Covington High School in 1953 and was a former employee of Leggett Department Store. She was a member of St. Mark’s United Methodist Church in Daleville.

She is survived by her devoted children, Kim and Johnny and his wife, Cecelia; the light of her life granddaughter, Maria and husband, Spencer Pugh; her adorable great-grandchildren, Lina Rose and Joel Pugh; Dr. Charles Blevins who was loved like a grandson by Bettie and John; and the eternal love of family and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, August 7, 2026, at Oakey’s East Chapel with the Rev. Stuart Revercomb officiating. Interment will be private.

Suggested memorials may be made to the St. Mark’s United Methodist Church at 19 Cedar Ridge Drive, Daleville, VA 24083 and /or the American Macular Degeneration Foundation 501©(3) at Macular.org. Condolences may be shared with her family by visiting www.Oakeys.com.
