BLACKSBURG — Virginia Tech Director of Track & Field and Cross Country Ben Thomas announced the Hokies’ 2026 cross country schedule Monday.

Virginia Tech opens the season Sept. 4 by hosting the VT Invitational at the Meredith Buford Cross Country Course in Blacksburg. The Hokies will also host the Hokie Invitational on Sept. 18.

Tech then travels to Boone, North Carolina, for the Fire Tower Project hosted by Appalachian State on Oct. 2.

The Hokies conclude the regular season Oct. 16 at the Panorama Farms Invitational.

Virginia Tech opens the postseason by hosting the ACC Championships on Oct. 30 in Blacksburg. The Hokies will host the conference championships for the first time since 2019, when Peter Seufer won the individual title. Virginia Tech also captured the men’s team championship the last time it hosted before that, in 2012.

The Hokies then travel to Spartanburg, S.C., for the NCAA Southeast Regional on Nov. 13, hosted by South Carolina Upstate, before competing at the NCAA Championships on Nov. 21 in Terre Haute, Ind., hosted by Indiana State.
