BOIL WATER NOTICE LIFTED FOR ALLEGHANY COUNTY

Tuesday, April 14, 2026, AT 8:18 a.m.

Alleghany County is pleased to report that water samples tested show our public water supply for the areas of Waller Ave, Clearwater Circle, Clearwater Drive, Mays Lane, Gilpin Ave, Parkview Ave and Woodbrook Dr. is safe for human consumption with no concerns for contamination. The Virginia Department of Health has officially lifted the Boil Water Notice in effect.

We would like to thank the community for its patience, and understanding on behalf of our water crews and the administrative team that assisted in responding to this incident.

If you have questions concerning this matter, you may contact Alleghany County Public Works at 540-863-6650.
