BATH COUNTY, Va – Bath County Middle School wasted no time asserting control, scoring eight runs in the first two innings and riding a dominant all-around performance to a convincing win over Shawsville Middle School.

The opening frame set the tone. Kason Carson delivered a two-run double, followed by RBI hits from Wyatt Randozzo, Harper Campbell, and Levi Foster as Bath County built an early cushion. Carson added to the effort on the mound as well, throwing two scoreless innings, allowing no hits while striking out five and walking two.

Bath County kept pressure on in the second inning. Truman Stewart doubled to center, Randozzo tripled down the left field line, and Campbell singled again, each driving in a run to extend the lead.

On the other side, Shawsville Middle School starter Luke C allowed eight runs (seven earned) on 10 hits over two innings, striking out three and walking none. Shawsville turned to relief appearances from Parker Davis, Cason Phillips, and Caleb Wolfe, but Bath County continued to find consistent contact throughout the lineup.

Bath County finished with 14 hits as a team, with Carson leading the way at 3-for-4. Randozzo and Stewart each posted multi-hit games, while Phillips, Lotts, Campbell, and Wolfe contributed multiple stolen bases in an aggressive baserunning attack. As a team, Bath County swiped 18 bases and never committed an error defensively.
