Connor Call Is Region’s Top Defensive Player

The honors keep piling up for Bath County junior Connor Call.
This week Call was named the Class 1, Region C Defensive Player of the Year.
Call was in on 173 tackles for the Chargers this fall, including 120 solo stops.
A total of 12 area players were named to the team:
• Connor Call, BCHS: Defensive Player of the Year, 1st team linebacker, 2nd team running back;
• Billy Baldwin, BCHS: 1st team offensive lineman;
• Sean Gardener, BCHS: 1st team punter, 2nd team kicker, 2nd team defensive end;
• Cole Plott, BCHS: 2nd team defensive back;
• Shaun Smith, CHS: 1st team running back;
• Anthony Davis, CHS: 1st team defensive end;
• Jaun Miller, CHS: 1st team defensive back, 1st team punt returner, 2nd team wide receiver;
• Nick Humphries, CHS: 2nd team offensive lineman;
• Jabari Williams, CHS: 2nd team tight end;
• Desmond Jones, CHS: 2nd team defensive lineman;
• De’Andre Heighter, CHS: 2nd team linebacker.
