HOT?SPRINGS — Karen Williams, 2018 Bath County Christmas Mother, has announced that the Christmas Mother Shop is now open at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in Hot Springs.
There are still a number of individuals and families awaiting adoption. Those wishing to adopt should contact the Christmas Mother shop at (540) 839-5683 or by e-mail at BathCounty ChristmasMother@gmail. com.
You may also stop by BB&T Bank in Hot Springs and select an angel from the Angel Tree. Each angel represents a boy or girl in Bath County.
Monetary donations are essential to help the program purchase gifts and food, and for fuel assistance in January, if funds are available.
Tax-deductible donations may be mailed to the Bath County Christmas Mother, P.O. Box 292, Hot Springs, Va., 24445.
They are seeking donations for the following items. These maybe new or gently used items:
•One bookshelf;
•Two swing sets;
•One love seat;
•Two sofas;
•Two refrigerators;
•One stove;
•One bedside commode;
•Wooden table and chairs;
•Two Food Lion gift certificates.
The following items are also needed:
•Personal hygiene products (soap, deodorant, lotion, shampoo);
•Toilet tissue, paper towels and facial tissues;
•Gloves;
•Hats;
•Scarves;
•Socks;
•Underwear.
Also, prayers for all volunteers and recipients of the program are welcome.
The Christmas Mother Shop will be open weekdays from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. through Wednesday.
