Boys Home Hosting Garden Planting Workshop

Boys Home of Virginia will host a free garden planting workshop with Charlie Wiley from the Jackson River Garden Center on Monday, March 25, beginning at 6:45 p.m.
The workshop will be held at the Boys Home School. Gardeners, aspiring gardeners, garden and vegetable enthusiasts and curious bystanders are invited to attend. Participants may register by calling 965-7700.
Happening in conjunction with the Boys Home sustainable agriculture program, the workshop is the second of six workshops focused on garden planning, planting, maintenance, heart-healthy cooking, food preservation and season extension.
The workshop is made possible by Grow Appalachia, a nonprofit group from Berea College in Kentucky.
