Rachel Rhodes, 81, of Roanoke, Va., went to be with Jesus on Friday, January 4, 2019. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
Rachel was preceded in death by her husband, David Rhodes; and her son, Mika Clapton.
She is survived by her son, Ricky Rhodes and wife, Kellie; her daughter, Debra Smith and husband, Jerry; her daughter, Dawn Powers and husband, Ronnie; five grandchildren, Amber, Daniel, David, Tiffany and Sarah; and eight great-grandchildren.
We miss you but know you are dancing with Daddy in Heaven free from Alzheimer’s.
The family wishes to thank Woodhaven Nursing home for their compassion, love and care.
The family will have a service to celebrate her life from 2 to 3 p.m. on Saturday, January 19, 2019, at Good News Fellowship Church in Covington, Va., of which she is a founding member.
