HOT SPRINGS, Va. (VR) – Allegheny Mountain Radio is pleased to announce the 24th Annual Bath Bluegrass Jamboree, set for Saturday, April 11, 2026, in the auditorium of Bath County High School. Doors will open at 5:00 p.m., with the show running from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
This annual event continues a long-standing tradition of bringing high-quality bluegrass music to the Allegheny Highlands.
This year’s Jamboree will be headlined by Nothin’ Fancy, a band formed in 1994 with the original goal of competing in a bluegrass competition. Since then, Nothin’ Fancy has grown into one of the most respected and recognizable names in bluegrass, releasing 11 full-length albums and performing at festivals across the United States and in international engagements. Their audiences have gathered at iconic venues including the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, Lincoln Center in New York City, and The Birchmere in Alexandria, Virginia. They are also a regular fixture at Dollywood and Silver Dollar City
in Branson, Missouri, where promoter and coordinator D.A. Callaway once described them as “the act that America needs to see.”
Nothin’ Fancy has hosted its own Nothin’ Fancy Bluegrass Festival every year since 2001 in Buena Vista, Virginia. Held annually on the fourth weekend of September, the festival has become a cornerstone of the Shenandoah Valley bluegrass scene, drawing acclaimed bands and bluegrass fans from across the United States, Canada, and overseas.
Over the course of their career, the band has earned six Society for the Preservation of Bluegrass Music in America (SPBGMA) Entertainers of the Year awards, received honorary Mountaineer status by order of former West Virginia Governor Joe Manchin III, and been recognized with certificates of appreciation from several Virginia towns, including the declaration of “Nothin’ Fancy Day” by the mayor of Buena Vista. In 2015, the band was inducted into the Virginia Country Music Hall of Fame, and several members have been honored by the music fraternity Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia for their
contributions to music.
Joining them on the ticket is WoundTight, a band formed in Southwest Virginia with an emphasis on traditional bluegrass music, strong vocals, and recently added original material. WoundTight plays energetic bluegrass intended for all audiences. The band released its first self-titled album, WoundTight, in 2014, followed by No More Rain in 2017, which featured original material. They have since released singles including Driving Me Insane and Why Did You Go Away. For listeners who appreciate tradition while welcoming new original material, WoundTight delivers a sound that honors
bluegrass roots while continuing to move forward.
Opening the show will be Franklin Station, a five-piece bluegrass band hailing from South Central and Southwest Virginia. The members are seasoned veterans who have played music most of their lives, bringing a real depth of knowledge and talent to every tune. With strong instrumentation and smooth, heartfelt vocals, Franklin Station performs a warm mix of classic bluegrass standards, contemporary bluegrass, uplifting gospel, and
touches of country—music that hits just right and soothes any bluegrass-loving soul.
Admission to the 24th Annual Bath Bluegrass Jamboree is $15 for adults, $5 for ages 13–18, and free for children 12 and under. Tickets will be available at the door.
