IRON GATE, Va. (VR) – Iron Gate Town Council is down one member after Vice Mayor Brandon Marshall resigned during the January council meeting on Thursday, Jan. 29. Marshall joined council in February 2023 by appointment to fill an unexpired term and was elected as a write-in candidate to a full four-year term in 2024. Councilwoman Jennifer Tyree moved to accept the resignation, noting it was with regret. Council approved the motion unanimously. Marshall has said in recent months he intended to step away from public service to focus more on his family.
