LETTER TO THE EDITOR:

A sincere thank you to the groups, organizations, churches and individuals who took part in the Community Good Neighbor Weekend in September.

Projects completed on September 27 were filling 1,000 Halloween bags at the library for distribution at Hometown Halloween; outdoor projects at Safehome; sorting and organizing clothes for Granbery Memorial UMC’s children and teen clothes closet; installing new shelving at South Covington Care Pantry, as well as collecting food and paper and hygiene products; and cleaning and refurbishing at Fort Young.

It is a pleasure, honor and blessing to be part of a community that is so willing to work together to help their neighbors.

Granbery Church is planning to host another Good Neighbor Weekend for and with the help of the community in the fall of 2026.
