ALLEGHANY COUNTY, Va. (VR) – The Alleghany Highlands Chamber of Commerce & Tourism is inviting community members to help spread holiday cheer this season by donating new, unwrapped toys for children ages 0–12 to benefit the Alleghany Highlands Christmas Mother Program. Donations will be accepted through Wednesday, December 4th at the Chamber office, located at 110 Mall Road in Covington.

Drop-off hours are:
Monday–Friday, 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Saturday, 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

“The Christmas Mother Program brings so much hope and joy to families in our region each holiday season,” said Josh Taylor, Executive Director of the Alleghany Highlands Chamber of Commerce & Tourism. “We are honored to help support their efforts and provide a convenient place for residents to
drop off toys that will directly benefit local children.”

The Alleghany Highlands Christmas Mother Program is a long-standing local tradition dedicated to ensuring that every child and family in the community experiences the warmth and spirit of the holiday season. Through the generosity of donors and volunteers, the program provides toys, clothing, and other essential items to families across the Alleghany Highlands each year. More information about the program and its mission can be found at www.highlandschristmasmother.org.
