Jerry Wayne Nininger
Jerry Wayne Nininger, age 73, of 215 Commerce Avenue, Iron Gate, Virginia died on Monday, October 27, 2025 at the Alleghany Health and Rehabilitation Center in Clifton Forge.
Jerry was born on February 8, 1952 in Botetourt County, Virginia to the late Wayne Caldwell Nininger and Alberta Robertine Duncan Nininger. He was a machine operator for the Virginia Department of Transportation, and always enjoyed working on equipment. He was a logger throughout his life, beginning at the early age of 14.
In addition to his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by a sister-in-law, Debbie Nininger.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Dudley Nininger, his daughter, Jennifer Reynolds (Gordon), and his son, David Wayne Nininger, all of Iron Gate; a sister, Jean Elmore (Bob) of New Castle; a brother, Gerald Nininger of Eagle Rock; three grandchildren, Logan Reynolds, Kara Reynolds, and Andrew Nininger; and a number of nieces and nephews.
In keeping with his wishes, his body has been cremated. A graveside memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 1, 2025 at 11:00 AM in Bethel Cemetery, Botetourt County with Pastor Christy Nicely officiating.
