COVINGTON, Va. (VR) – The Alleghany Cruisers are excited to be hosting another great event for car enthusiasts throughout the region. The 4th Annual Holiday Hot Rod Round Up will be held Saturday November 1, 2025 at the Jackson River Sports Complex in Covington VA.

The Holiday Hot Rod Round Up is a Christmas themed car show that began in 2022 as a fund raiser for the local Angel Tree Program that benefits area children in need during the Christmas season. This program is orchestrated by the Salvation Army. This event has
become one of the fastest growing car shows in the region.

“Our club got together in 2022 and decided we wanted to do something for the kids in the Alleghany Highlands during the Christmas season.”: said Alleghany Cruisers President Robert Floyd. “The Angel Tree program is a great program that helps children in our area.

Unfortunately, each year many of the Angels are not adopted. This leaves the Salvation Army with the task of ensuring that each child is taken care of. We started this show to help raise funds to assist with these children.”

The 3rd Annual Holiday Hot Rod Round up is open to the public from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm. Registration opens at 9:00 am and the show is open to any type of vehicle. Registration is just $10.00 for this event. The first 100 entries will receive a commemorative dash plaque.

Of course, the Holiday Hot Rod Round Up is more than just cars. There will be food vendors, merchandise vendors, a large raffle, a 50/50 drawing, many door prizes, great activities for the kids including Laser Tag provided by Mountain Rush, and a Live D.J. And of course, there will likely be some surprises.

“We have a big treat in store for the kids this year.”: commented Floyd. “Santa Claus himself is scheduled to make an appearance between 12:00 pm and 1:30 pm and he is looking forward to greeting all of the children and handing out some special gifts.”
