COVINGTON, Va. (VR) – The Alleghany Cougars will take their unbeaten record on the road Friday night when they travel to face the Waynesboro Little Giants.

Head coach Will Fields and the Cougars sit at 3-0 on the season after last week’s nail-biter, a one-point win over Staunton. Alleghany has shown grit in close contests, and Fields’ group will be looking to stay perfect against a Waynesboro team coming in at 2-2.

The Little Giants are led by head coach Nathan Bain and are fresh off a tight victory of their own, edging Rockbridge in Week 4. That win brought balance to Waynesboro’s record, but it also served as a reminder that Bain’s team knows how to fight to the end.

The Cougars will count on Ethan Phillips, Des Jordan, and Brady May, Jay Godfrey and Carter Nicely adding more firepower to the game as Alleghany gears up for another tough test.
