Mr. Claude Edward “Eddie” Megginson, Jr. age 63, of Covington, died Monday, June 24, 2019, at LewisGale Hospital – Alleghany, Low Moor. He was the husband of Gay Linkenhoker Megginson.
Mr. Megginson was born July 20, 1955 in Clifton Forge, the son of the late Claude Edward Megginson, Sr. and Jessie McDowell Megginson.
He was employed with the General Utilities Department of Westvaco, Inc for sixteen years. Eddie loved children and enjoyed being in the outdoors and animals.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Megginson is survived by a son, Jaylon Megginson of California; two daughters, Justina Megginson of North Carolina and Jocelyn Hall of Delaware; five grandchildren; three great grandchildren; a sister, Ida “Peaches” Megginson; five half sisters; two half sisters; and a sister-in-law, Brenda M. Cartwright.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
