CLIFTON FORGE, Va. (VR) – On Sunday, August 31st at 7:00 pm, enjoy live jazz provided by the West Virginia Jazz Orchestra (WVJO), the Mountain State’s premier ensemble dedicated to the timeless magic of Big Band jazz live at the Masonic Amphitheatre, 513 Church Street Step into a world where brass blazes, rhythms swing, and melodies soar! Since its founding in 2000 by Joe Buttram, Peter Hill, and Gary Williams, and under the inspired direction of Jeff Bryant, the WVJO has become a beloved cultural cornerstone of the Greenbrier Valley and the Allegheny Highlands.
With 21 accomplished performers and two dynamic vocalists, the WVJO brings the golden age of jazz to life with every performance. Whether performing in elegant concert halls, lively street festivals, or intimate community gatherings, the WVJO delivers a musical experience that’s both nostalgic and exhilarating.
In addition to smooth jazz tunes, celebrate the weekend with a picnic on the lawn. Masonic Lodge volunteers will be grilling hot dogs for the picnic, so bring your lawn chairs, your appetite and your love for great music at the Masonic Amphitheatre on August 31.
