Relay For Life of Alleghany “Racing to End Cancer” on August 2, 2025

COVINGTON, Va. (VR) – Relay For Life of Alleghany is “Racing to End Cancer” in 2025. Relay will take place on August 2, 2025, at Jackson River Sports Complex from 6p-10p closing with the Luminaria Ceremony in memory of those who have fought the battel against cancer and in honor of those who have fought and those who are fighting.

Join an existing team or start your own, there is still plenty of time. Relay For Life of Alleghany County | Relay for Life is the site to join in the fight.
There will be fun games and activities for all ages.

U.B.U. will be on stage from 6-9 playing a variety of music for everyone.

There will be a Car Show from 4p-8p. Contact John Sprouse at 540-968-1927 for more information on the car show.

Vendors can secure a spot for the event by donating an item for our Silent Auction that takes place during Relay.

Basket Alley is a collection of baskets made by each team and donated to help raise funds. Currently, the baskets are spending time at various locations around Covington and Clifton Forge providing opportunity for folks to view the baskets and purchase a chance. Winners to be drawn at Relay.

There will be a planning meeting at Bella Pizza in Clifton Forge on Tuesday June 10, 2025, from 6-715. Any and everyone interested is invited to attend to help with planning or to learn more about Relay and get questions answered.
