COVINGTON, Va. (WVDN) – On the first weekend in May, a cast of middle school students defied the odds and presented “Into the Woods,” a creative twist on the popular Brothers Grimm fables. Under the stellar direction of Ben Snedegar and Molly Diment, students at Covington Middle School enchanted the audience with vocal performances, dancing, and storytelling that stirred up laughter and fun. Students in 6th, 7th, and 8th grade overcame many challenges from the semester and worked with determined effort to rally around each other and their directors to produce something truly magical.

Often there is so much behind the scenes that the audience never sees, including the joy of being together, supporting each other’s talent, and proving their resilience to overcome and shine in the midst of adversity. That is the true testament of their talent.
