Franklin Henry Wills, Sr.

Franklin Henry Wills, Sr., age 77, of Longdale Furnace Road, Clifton Forge, Virginia died Friday, April 18, 2025, at the Davis and McDaniel Veterans Care Center, Salem.

Henry was born June 29, 1947, in Bath County, Virginia to the late Frances Wills Edwards. He was a former molder for Acadia Plant in Iron Gate and served in the United States Army. Henry attended Sharon Baptist Church. He enjoyed visiting with friends at the Triangle Country Store in Clifton Forge, enjoyed hunting and fishing, especially ocean fishing, and the outdoors.

In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his brother, Kenneth Wayne Edwards; his grandparents, Clarence Oscar Wills and Mary Elizabeth Wills; and several aunts and uncles.

He is survived by his wife, Rosezetta Knick Wills; a daughter, Tiffany Wills; two sons, J.R Wills and Anthony Wills all of Clifton Forge; two sisters, Linda Lamb and Christina Snow both of Charlottesville; two brothers, Glenwood Wills of Roanoke and Billy Edwards of Charlottesville; a special cousin, Gloria Lindsey; and a number of nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge with Mr. Chris Fisher officiating. Interment will follow in Sharon Baptist Church Cemetery, Clifton Forge. Pallbearers will be Richard Nicely, Darrell Vess, Eddie Putnam, Michael Taylor, Joe Wood, Luke Lyons, and Ralph Tucker. Honorary pallbearers will be Cletus Nicely, Barry Daniel, Wendell Jones and Tommy Vest. The family will receive friends on Tuesday afternoon from 1:00 PM until the time of service.

Following the service, a meal will be held in the fellowship hall at Sharon Baptist Church.

Out of respect for the family, they ask that friends not visit during their time of grief in their home.
