Edgemont Presbyterian Church Special Easter Services

COVINGTON, Va. (VR) – Edgemont Presbyterian Church (Associate Reformed) invites you to worship and join us in our upcoming special services and activities for the celebration of Easter. Our Maundy Thursday Service with the Lord’s Supper will be held on Thursday, April 17, at 6:00 p.m. Guest speaker, the Rev. Jim Giles of Johnson Creek ARP Church, will be delivering the message “Jesus Knew,” which will be followed by the LORD’s Supper. Our Good Friday Service to be held on Friday, April 18, at 6 p.m.

Rev. James MacDougall’s message will focus on the seven phrases Jesus spoke from the cross.

Come and enjoy music from Handel’s Messiah before the service, which will begin at 5:30 p.m.

An Easter Egg Hunt will be held Saturday, April 19, at 11:00 a.m. There will be snacks, crafts, games, prizes, and a hotdog luncheon. The Easter bunny will be on site to visit with children and take pictures.

In continuing a lasting tradition, the Edgemont congregation will join members of Johnson Creek ARP Church for an Easter Sunrise Service at Johnson Creek. Rev. Jim Giles will deliver the message “I’ve Just Seen Jesus” at 7:00 a.m. The final service will be at Edgemont at 11:00 a.m. when Rev. MacDougall will deliver the message “Resurrection Assured.”

You are invited to join us for these special services as we celebrate the death, burial, and resurrection of our risen Lord. Edgemont ARP is located at 2306 S. Church Avenue in Covington.
