Tommy “T.V.” Riddle

Tommy “T.V.” Riddle went running barefoot into the arms of Jesus on April 7, 2025.

Tommy was born in Clifton Forge, VA on October 7, 1929 to Vivian and Jhue Riddle. He led an amazing and interesting life which included attending music events, traveling all over the world, attending festivals and Nascar events.  He was an avid UVA and Redskins fan.  He loved getting autographs of sports figures, musicians, actors and politicians.  He also enjoyed photography. Tommy served in the United States Air Force.  While stationed in Detroit he met a young lady from Wisconsin, Teri Young.  Tommy and Teri were married in the Christian Church in Clifton Forge.

Together they had three children, son Randy, daughter Mickie and son Brian. Tommy had one brother, John Riddle and one sister, Dorothy Riddle.

Sadly Tommy is predeceased by his parents, wife Teri, son Randy, brother and sister.

Surviving Tommy are Mickie and husband Michael Henriquez, son Brian and wife Sharon and Randy’s wife Jennifer. Tommy was blessed with four granddaughters, Heather Riddle, Amanda Bradney and husband George, Bethany Heslep and husband Brett and Taylor Musick. These beautiful granddaughters gave Tommy eight great grandchildren who he adored. Aiden Truslow, Sadie Riddle, Lukas Riddle, Grayson Bradney, Brighton Bradney, Ella Heslep, Parker Heslep and Audrey Heslep. He is also survived by a nephew Kevin Riddle and wife Paris and two nieces, Becky Hoaland (Harold) and Melissa Riddle. Tommy had some very special friends who he enjoyed spending time with, Bob Fetzer, Paula Duncan, Joe and Mandy Bradney, Susan and McKenzie Honts, Latrina Richmond and Paula Cottrill.

For many years Tommy contributed to his community by serving in the Clifton Forge Rescue Squad, The Elks Club and The Moose Lodge.  He also coached Little League baseball. His camp on the Cowpasture River was Tommy’s favorite place to spend time.  Many hours were spend sitting on his rock in the middle of the river.

There will be a Celebration of Life service held Friday April 11th at 6:00 pm at Iron Gate Baptist Church with visitation to follow. Chris Fisher will officiate.

In lieu of flowers please consider donating to one of Tommy’s favorite charities, The Clifton Forge Rescue Squad, Iron Gate Baptist Church or Alleghany Highlands Arts Council.
