COVINGTON, Va, (VR) – Jeter-Watson Elementary School students thoroughly enjoyed a visit from three members of the Roanoke Rail Yard Dawgs on Wednesday, March 19. From left are Tim Manning, Jeter-Watson second-grader Dylan Hoke, Daniel Chladek, and C.J. Valerian. Dylan was allowed to don hockey gear as the players explained life as a professional hockey player. They also stressed how they improve their skills by attending practice regularly. They said for the students that translates into attending school regularly and paying attention in class. The visit was arranged by Jeter-Watson Assistant Principal Dee Tickner, who is a big Rail Yard Dawgs fan.  (AHPS Photo)
