Mountain Gateway Community College Extends Application Deadline for MG-TEC IT Academy

CLIFTON FORGE, Va. (VR) – Mountain Gateway Community College (MGCC) is pleased to announce an extended deadline for applications to the highly anticipated MG-TEC IT Academy. Students now have until May 1, 2025, to apply for this exciting opportunity.

The MG-TEC IT Academy is designed for high school sophomores, juniors, and seniors interested in exploring the rapidly growing field of information technology. The program offers an in-depth look into IT careers, including areas like cybersecurity, robotics, and technical support.

Perfect for students with a passion for problem-solving, technology, or helping others with tech challenges, this program is an ideal introduction to the world of IT.

Participants will earn college credit while gaining hands-on experience with cutting-edge technology. From flying drones and building robots to learning ethical hacking techniques and protecting businesses from cyber threats, the academy offers students an engaging and dynamic learning environment.

The MG-TEC IT Academy provides specialized pathways in cybersecurity, cloud computing, and technical support, allowing students to tailor their learning to their career interests.
