What’s Going On With The CMS lawn?

COVINGTON, Va (VR) – The traffic cones and heavy equipment, has people wondering if the work going on with the lawn is related to the gas leak, according to Covington City Manager Allen Dressler no. Dressler states that over the summer, there were some sewage line work done and that the fill dirt that was originally placed there has settled and that the contractors were there to place more dirt at the site. Once the pile can handle heavy equipment, top soil will be added to the site. Mr. Dressler states “Our contractor has returned a couple times to add top soil as it had settled. With the recent snow melt and rains this particular stretch settled quite a bit but was also the deepest portion of the sewer project. Certainly not uncommon.”
