Alleghany Releases Spring Sports Information

LOW MOOR, Va (VR) – The Alleghany High School Athletic Department has released the 2025 Spring sports information, according to their Facebook page.

Spring sports practice will begin on Monday, February 24th.

The following sports will hold their first practice or tryout behind AHS after school on Monday:

For 8th graders: Any 8th-grade student wishing to try out for

JV Baseball or JV Softball should attend practice on Monday for evaluation.

Additional interest meetings will be held for the following sports:

CMS Baseball and Softball – Interest meeting on Tuesday at 7:00 PM at the Covington Armory.

CMS Boys and Girls Soccer – Interest meeting on Monday at 6:30 PM at Jeter Watson Elementary School.
Boys and Girls Tennis – Practice will be held at Clifton Academy Tennis Courts at 4:00 PM.
