CLIFTON FORGE, Va. (VR) – The Barter Players return to The Historic Masonic Theatre on Sunday, March 2 for a 3:00 pm matinee to
perform the story of The Ugly Duckling.
It’s hard being different. When a strange egg shows up in Mama Duck’s nest and hatches, a very ugly duckling is born. After many failed attempts to fit in, the ugly duckling sets out on a journey to find his true place in the world. He soon realizes that he must learn to love himself before he can discover who he really is.
The Ugly Duckling is based on the tale by Hans Christian Anderson and was adapted for the stage by Catherine Gray.
This performance is co-presented and free of charge, thanks to the generous support of the Alleghany Highlands Community Services Board.
