Jerry Randolph Nicely, Sr.
Jerry Randolph Nicely, Sr., age 80, of 1726 Wysor Road, Draper, Virginia and formerly of Covington, died on Saturday, February 8, 2025 at Radford Health Rehabilitation in Radford.
Jerry was born on August 10, 1944 in Clifton Forge, Virginia to the late Ralph Thomas and Florence McNabb Nicely. He was a retired foreman for the former Hercules of Covington and a former member of the South Covington United Methodist Church. He was an outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing, and was an avid Minnesota Vikings fan.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Jerry Randolph Nicely, Jr.; a brother, Richard W. Nicely; a granddaughter, Lauren Elizabeth Nicely; and a nephew, Ricky Simpson.
He is survived by his wife, Sandra Simpson Nicely of Draper; a son, Troy Nicely and wife Stephanie of Draper; two grandchildren, Alexa Nicely and Trey Nicely; two step grandchildren, Madison Tolley and Stephen Craft; a number of nieces and nephews; and his dog, Maggie.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 15, 2025 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge with Pastor Joe Rose officiating. Interment will follow in Shiloh United Methodist Church Cemetery, Eagle Rock. The family will receive friends on Saturday afternoon from 12:30 until the time of service at Nicely Funeral Home.
