CITY OF COVINGTON RESIDENTS

65 YEARS OF AGE OR OVER

OR PERMANENTLY AND TOTALLY DISABLED

Applications for Fiscal Year 2025/2026 Real Estate Tax Exemption on your personal residence including manufactured homes/mobile homes should be filed in the office of the City Commissioner of the Revenue between February 1 and February 28, 2025.  You must meet income and net worth requirements to be eligible. Please come to the Commissioner of the Revenue office with your proof of income and net worth (social security statement, W-2, pension/1099R, bank statements for checking and savings, etc. for the year 2024).  We need proof of income and net worth for everyone living in the household.  Office hours are 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday thru Friday, excluding legal holidays.  Office located in City Hall, Covington, VA.
