Dear Editor,
We read a lot about beautifying our area. Many tourists and visitors travel Interstate 64 and enjoy the colorful mountains, which will soon have Red Bud and Dogwood trees blooming.
Visitors come to the Low Moor exit and turn the corner to go to Brian Center and/or the hospital.
The first thing that they see is a jungle on one side of the road and a vacant field full of weeds and undergrowth next to the Travel Lodge motel. Following that is another jungle.
The Brian Center crew does a fine job with seasonal decorations, trimming shrubs and lawn care. The hospital is nicely landscaped and has Dogwood trees, which will soon be beautiful.
Since I live at Brian Center and enjoy the mountain view from my window, it would be pleasant to see flowering trees and shrubs across the road. This would improve the area for everyone.
Sincerely,
Doris Hagedon
Brian Center Low Moor
