John Horton

John Anthony Horton, age 92, of 601 Commercial Avenue, Clifton Forge, Virginia died Friday, February 21, 2020 at the Brian Center Health and Rehabilitation Center in Low Moor.
Born January 5, 1928 in Great Britain to the late William and Sybil Horton, he served in the British Army and received multiple engineering degrees in Great Britain before being recruited by IBM in New York in 1957.
He also received a Master’s degree in Fine Arts. John was an avid fly fisherman and was happiest in midstream with fly rod in hand, or when spending time with his partner of 51 years, Miss Madeline A. Casmiri and their dogs, of Clifton Forge, who survive him.
In keeping with his wishes, his body has been cremated. There will be no services.
