The Town of Clifton Forge will have the Clifton Forge Firehouse, 701 Church Street,

Weather Service states that there could be dangerously cold wind chills as low as 20
below possible along and west of the Blue Ridge from late Sunday night through
Wednesday morning.

is exposed to these temperatures. An extended period of freezing temperatures could
cause ruptured water pipes.
An extended period of extreme cold possible Monday through Wednesday, possibly
continuing into Thursday. Sunday night and Tuesday night will be the coldest
conditions of the period. Daytime high temperatures on these days will be in the teens
with some single digits in the mountains.
The Clifton Forge Volunteer Rescue Squad, 1610 Hickory Avenue, Clifton Forge,
VA, has also agreed to open their building up to those in need.
Both locations will be open from Sunday, January 19 through Friday, January 24.
Anyone who needs assistance getting to either of these locations should call the
