CHRISTIANSBURG – For the second time this 2024-25 swim season, Alleghany participated at a swim meet at the Christiansburg Aquatic Center in Christiansburg.
 
The meet consisted of six different schools; Alleghany, Auburn, Christiansburg, Jefferson Forest, Pulaski County, and Radford.
 
Alleghany had four top-5 finishes, with two of them coming individually from sophomore swimmer Kara Nicely.
 
Nicely finished third in both the 100-yard freestyle (1:06.19) and 200-yard individual medley (2:49.85).
 
In the girls 200-yard medley relay Nicely, along with Cora Hodges, Emily Peters, and Katie Stull helped lead Alleghany to a second place finish following a time of 2:30.89.
 
The Alleghany boys swim team had one top-5 finish coming in the 200-yard freestyle relay after they had a finish time of 2:30.04. The boys team was led by Cadence Bland, James Conner, Nolan Rosales, and Logan Walton.
