LOW MOOR — The Alleghany Humane Society’s annual Holiday Pet Food, Supplies and Fund Drive has begun, and the society needs the community’s help.
The shelter continues to receive an unprecedented number of dogs and cats. Now more than ever, their shelter is needed to ensure that pets without loving homes have temporary housing, food, and care until they find their forever families.
The Humane Society is working hard to meet the demands at the shelter, and need the community’s help to achieve their mission.
Needs include: liquid bleach, squeaky toys and balls for the dogs, cat toys and Temptations treats, Purina dog chow complete, Purina kitten chow in yellow bag, Purina cat chow in blue bag, Alpo or Pedigree gravy canned food or chopped canned food for dogs, Friskies canned pate and shreds for cats, paper towels, carriers, wire crates, dog and cat sponsors, and gently used dishwasher.
Most important, they need adoptive families, foster homes, volunteer assistance and monetary support.
Donations can be made at the Alleghany Humane Society on Rich Patch Road.
