Please vote for the Virginian Review Alleghany and Bath County ‘Football Friday’ Players of the Week for week 7. Three players from each school are nominated and combined together in one poll. We will take the top vote getters and announce the winners from each school on Monday nights (time may vary week-to-week). Again, there will be a winner from each school. Voting closes Monday, October 14, 2024, at 9:00 PM.

Nominees:

Alleghany (beat Carroll County 27-8):

Jay Godfrey: key interception

Carter Nicely: 2 rushing TDs– 1-yd and 30-yd

Xzavier Hayslett: had a 77-yd catch and a 19-yd TD catch

Bath Co. (defeated Bland County 63-0):

Wyatt Campbell: Pick 6–56 rush yds, TD– 131 pass yards–100th career touchdown

Braiden Mabe: 3 TDs, including a scoop and score– 3 rec, 91 yds, handful of TFLs and 2 sacks on D

Bath County Defense: Another shutout, allowed only 18 points all season, at least one fumble recov or interception every game
