HAMPTON – Clem Douglas Trent Sr., 96, of Hampton, formerly of 316 Church Street, Clifton Forge, died Thursday January 21, 2010 at the VA Medical Center in Hampton.
He was born January 21, 1914 in Richmond, the son of the late Eliza and Adeline Roach Trent. He was a retired Master Sergeant in the United States Air Force, where he worked as a mechanic. He was also a member of the Veteran’s of Foreign Wars.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Lucille Inez Alderson Trent in May 1994.
He is survived by a son, Clem Douglas Trent Jr. and his wife, Elvalee H. Trent, of Hampton, and a granddaughter, Clara Lyn Trent.
A funeral service will be conducted at 6 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Nicely Funeral Home in Clifton Forge, with the Rev. W. Pembroke Hall officiating. A private interment will take place at a later time in Mountain View Cemetery.
