WHITE SULPHUR SPRINGS, W.Va. – The regular season for the Alleghany golf team came to a conclusion last Monday where the Cougars finished second amongst four-teams at the Valley View Country Club.
The green belonged to hosts of the four-team event, Greenbrier East, who as a team totaled 122 for the day with a three-player score. Note that only three players are carded in West Virginia golf outings.
Isaac Hutchinson paced the Spartans on the day as he was the medalist, shooting a 38 good for a 2-over-par.
The second place Cougars shot a 129 as a trio. All-District second team member Haden Spinks and Bubby Entsminger each shot a 42 to lead AHS. Meanwhile Kai Rowland, also an All-TRD second team member, rounded out the card by shooting a 45.
Princeton 137 and Summers County 146 rounded out the field at the golf match at the Valley View Country Club last Monday.
With the regular season in the book, Alleghany now focuses on their regional qualifier on Monday, September 23rd. The Cougars regional qualifier takes place in Keswick at The Club at Glenmore.
