Vote Now for the Virginian Review Alleghany & Bath Co. ‘Football Friday’ Players of the Week- WEEK 1

Please vote for the Virginian Review Alleghany and Bath County ‘Football Friday’ Players of the Week for week 2. Three players from each school are nominated and combined together in one poll. We will take the top vote getters and announce the winners from each school on Monday nights (time may vary week-to-week). Again, there will be a winner from each school. Voting closes Monday, Sept. 9, 2024 at 9:00 PM.

Nominees:

Alleghany (beat Fort Defiance 47-13):

Des Jordan: 11-for-15 on pass attempts, 243 pass yds, 3 TD passes. Rushed eight times for 56yds and 3 rushing scores. 6 total touchdowns.

Sarge Persinger: 4 receptions for 85yds and two touchdowns. Handful of tackles and a sack on defense.

Xzavier Hayslett: 5 receptions for a game-high 118 yds receiving and a touchdown. Also had an interception on the game’s first drive.

Bath County (defeated Page County 55-0)

Wyatt Campbell: 147 rush yds, 133 passing, 5 total TDs

Ethan Bryant: 59 yds, 2 TDs

Cooper Lowry: 77 yds rushing, TD– TD return on defense
