CLIFTON FORGE – Willie Jane Campbell Truitt, 93, of 809 Brussels Ave., Clifton Forge, died Wednesday, Nov. 18, 2009 at Alleghany Regional Hospital, Low Moor.

She was born April 18, 1916 in Clifton Forge, a daughter of the late Walter and Georgia Vest Campbell. She was an employee of the former Mizzy, Inc. and a member of Clifton Forge Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Pete E. Truitt Sr. and two brothers, Roy Campbell and J. W. Campbell.

She is survived by a son, Pete “Eddie” Truitt Jr. and wife, Mary of Saluda and formerly of Clifton Forge; two grandchildren, Steve “Shady” Truitt and wife Brenda of Jacksonville, Fla., and Georgia Smith and husband Andre of Katy, Texas; one great-grandson, Luke; special niece Nancy Arritt and husband Robert and their family of Daleville, and special friends, Betty Jo Brown and Jane Putnam.

A funeral service will be held Tuesday at 12 p.m. in the chapel of Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge with the Rev. J. Glenn Linthicum officiating. Interment will follow in Central Advent Christian Cemetery, Clifton Forge.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Nicely Funeral Home.
